“For the Lamb who is the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”  Revelation 7:17

The Bereavement Team continues the familial support of our parish by reaching out to family members when they have lost a loved one. Our members visit the funeral home, serve at the Mass of Christian Burial and if the family desires to provide a luncheon for their family and friends, our Lunch Team will set-up, serve and clean-up after the meal. We have three luncheon teams that rotate to serve the food provided by the family as well as coffee, tea and punch.

Time commitment varies – Approximately 5 – 20 hours a month.  If you are unable to serve when called for a funeral, you will be called for the next one.

An annual Memorial Service of Light and Life is offered for all families who have lost a loved one in the previous year. This service is held during an All Souls remembrance celebration the first week of November. While not a Mass, this beautiful service helps to provide strength, peace and hope for those grieving.  Invitations are sent to families of the deceased; however all are welcome to attend.  A refreshment reception follows, courtesy of our Bereavement Team.
